Chapter 5

Jon got back to his room and just plopped down on the couch. This whole situation was getting to him especially Sarah. He didn’t except to start having feelings for her. He had to sort this out. Did he want to have a relationship with her or at least try too? She was sweet and beautiful and kind and maybe if they really tried to spend some time together maybe they had somethings in common. Oh God what was he thinking? He had this major tour that they were on and just lost his high school sweetheart because of it. Did he really want to get into another relationship? He and Richie were having too much fun just being bachelors and enjoying being single together and not feeling guilty for the first time in his life for enjoying his rock star life style. URGH!!!! He really needed to know what happened that night maybe it would help him make this decision.

He got up and poured himself a drink and the first one went down to easily. The second one he took it more slowly. He really needed to know what that P.I. found out because this was killing him.

Later that night the guys talked Jon into going out with them and asked Sarah to go with them also. They ended up at this bar The Raw Hide and luckily they got a table in the back. There was a great house band playing but they had to sit on Richie as he was jumping in his seat to go up there to play with them. Jon told him that he needed him with him just in case something came up. Well that set Richie and David into a fit of giggles. Sarah had looked over confused as to why they were laughing like that. Jon just wanted to crawl under the table.

The waitress had walked over to the table and took their orders as Alec nearly fell off of his chair. Tico gave him a back hand and told him not to get into any trouble. He couldn’t promise anything as he chuckled. The night was going well as the band was really good and everyone was enjoying themselves and the beer and jack was flowing. Sarah thou was going between soda and beer herself. She didn’t want what happened before to happen again. Not that it would but she wasn’t going to take any chances. The guys did find several girls to keep them company but Jon was trying to be a good boy seeing that he was married in the eyes of the law and in God and especially with Sarah. But mostly that he was having feelings for her. Richie had this cute brunette on his lap as Jon and Sarah were sitting next to each other and he was feeling pretty good right now. So he did have his arm over her chair. She didn’t know what to make of this but hell she was just going to go with it especially since he was feeling good.

It looked like a new waitress came on and she was passing their table and ignoring them when they were trying to get her attention.

“What the hell?” Dave asked as he was about jumping out of his chair. “Hey Mr. Rock Star maybe you should try getting her attention seeing that all the girls fall at your feet.” David said laughing at himself.

Jon just gave him the finger but the others were laughing now and suggested to Jon to try. So Jon was waving to her now to come to their table but nada. She just pretended that she didn’t see him and continued what she was doing.

“Wow Jon she’s even ignoring you? I guess putting that ring on even made you less attractive huh?” Dave told him as he just couldn’t get himself under control.

“Shut the fuck up David!” Jon said annoyed.

Sarah was just watching them go at it as she finally said, “Do you guys go at this all the time you know like this all the time?” she wondered wide eyed.

Tico looked at her and said, “Little one you’ll get used to it trust me.” He smiled at her.

Sarah just smiled back as Jon put his arm around her and winked at her and brought her in closer to him and she really didn’t know what to make of it but she did know that she liked it. She definitely knew he was growing on her and how really sweet he was. She did get a big kick out of how he was paying so much attention to her and she really liked that.

Jon leaned into Richie and said “Yeah let’s go up to the bar and ask them to send over another couple a pitchers to our table and find out what’s with our waitress what do you say?”

“Sure why not. (looking at his lady friend) Now you just stay right here and I’ll be right back.” He winked at her.

Jon got up and placed a kiss to Sarah’s cheek and told her that he would be right back too and they started to walk to the bar. The waitress saw them and had got someone’s attention there and he her’s.  

When they reached the bar they both tried to get the bartender’s attention. After about a few minutes Jon had bumped into one of the girls that were next to him and as she turned around that’s when everything hit the fan.

“Oh my God it’s you, you Son-of-a-Bitch!” she screamed at him then she hurled off and slapped him across the face.

Stunned Jon didn’t know what the hell hit him or why she hit him as Richie caught him as he fell backwards. Unfortunately the other guys didn’t see this happen so when Richie picked him up and put him on his feet again she hurled off again and knocked him a second time as Richie caught him again.

Richie finally yelled, “Lady what the Hell! I don’t usually hit a woman but if you keep doing this I will!” he said angrily putting Jon right side up again but putting himself now between the two of them.

“Well you tell your friend here that he is a two timing liar! He was making me all these promises and screwing me hours before he got married to that, that whore! You told me that I was the only one in your life and that it was me you loved!” she screamed as Jon and Richie just stood there stunned. But what was worse now the whole bar was standing around them watching as she was screaming at him and accusing him. Now the guys could hear what was going on and Sarah wanted to go over there to see what was going on.

“No Sarah not after what happened to you at the pool. Dave get her out of here and back to the car now. If anything happens to her Jon will kill us.” Tico told him. David agreed and took her out thru the back way before anyone noticed them. Tico made his way up to the front and as he did of course there was no sign of Alec which for once was a good thing.

“Hey what the hell is going on here?” he asked them when he got to Richie as he had Jon behind him.

“This broad thinks Jon promised her the moon then ran out on her and married someone else. I can tell you we’ve never seen this broad before in our lives.” Richie told them pissed.

“That’s bullshit and you know it. You were off fucking my girlfriend! Then you two guys were so fucking loaded you disappeared on us.  We thought you were different but you’re not your just like the rest of them sleazy rock stars only out for the sex. Your all disgusting.” She kept on screaming.

 “Ok that’s enough.” Tico said pissed off too. “Richie grab him he seems out of it. Let’s go everyone else should be in the car except Alec, who the hell knows where he is.” He told them annoyed know.

They got out to the car as fast as they could as Tico fended off that girl. She was relentless in her yelling at Jon all the way out. As Richie got Jon in the car David asked them where Tico was and Richie thought that he was right behind them. They waited a few minutes when he finally entered the car and told the driver to get going. Richie and David looked at him but Tico just shooked his head at them meaning not now. They got back to the hotel and Jon in his room and Sarah wouldn’t take no for an answer. She was going in also to make sure he was ok. He was finally snapping out of it when he asked them what the hell happened.

“What you don’t remember?” David asked him surprised.

“No I remember I just can’t understand why the hell she was screaming at me like that. I mean…Rich what the hell is going on?” he asked confused.

“I don’t know Kidd I really don’t but we sure the hell are going to find out. I’m going to call Mitch and see if he’s found anything out yet and then tell him what happened. Sarah stay with him will ya.” Richie said as he walked off to his room for privacy.  Well Tico went with him seeing that he had got a little bit more info on what had happen when he went back and talked quickly to the bar tender as they left.

Entering Richie’s room, “Tico what’s up?” he asked him curiously.

“Well I need to talk to Mitch as well. We were set up man. I don’t think that girl knew Jon from shit and there was someone watching us closely. Someone near the back door with a hoodie on. We need to find out who has it out not just for Jon but for Sarah. We know Kyle but what the hell is his link to Jon?” They both looked at each other now really confused. Richie grabbed the phone and made his call.

Back in Jon’s room Sarah was sitting by Jon and David trying to make small talk. She really didn’t have this much trouble with Richie. “Jon are you alright? I’m so sorry you’re going thru this. I feel like this is all my fault.” She told him feeling really bad.

Looking at her, “Sarah how can this be just your fault? I was in bed with you too and apparently we both said I Do. So it takes two to tango. I just wish either one of us could remember what the hell happened that night.” He told her feeling distraught.

David asked her, “Sarah are you sure you don’t remember anything that Kyle may have said about Jon or us?”

“No I’m sorry nothing.” she told them again. “Oh would it be ok if I ask my girlfriend Karen to come out here you know so I have her to be with me. She’s my best friend we grew up together.” She asked them.

Jon and Dave just looked at each other and weren’t sure that was such a good idea.

“Sarah I don’t think so with everything that we have going on we really don’t need another person to really look after you know.” Jon told her as she really looked disappointed.

Just then Tico and Richie walked in with some news. “Hey Mitch said he thinks he’s found out some things and he’ll be here sometime tomorrow to let us in on it” he said happily. But he did notice that Sarah wasn’t looking to happy. Sarah made some excuse and left for her room as Richie just watched her leave. Finally he turned to Jon and asked him, “What the hell did you do to Sarah to make her leave like that?”

“What? What the hell are you talking about? I didn’t make her leave she said she had to leave. Why the hell are you blaming me?” Jon asked him bewildered.

“Because of the look on her face that’s why. She seemed upset so what did you do to her?” he asked him again.

“Dave did I do anything to Sarah?” Jon asked him still confused.

“Nope not that I know of.” Dave said looking just as confused as Jon.

“Oh that’s good go to Joker and ask him. I think I know women a hell of a lot more than the two of you put together.” He told them a little aggravated. “So what did you do?” he asked again.

“Richie he didn’t do anything. All she did was ask if she could ask her friend if she could come out and well we both kind of agreed it wouldn’t be a good idea with what’s happening right?” David said to him.

“That was it?” Richie asked confused.

“Yeah that was it why?” Jon told him.

“You guys are morons.” Tico told them. “She’s lonely and wants female company and not be surrounded by all of us male testosterone. And just maybe it would be easier to keep her under wraps if her friend is with her did you ever think of that?” Tico asked him.

Thinking about what Tico just said Jon felt bad because he had his guys standing behind him but Sarah had nobody. “Fine I get it. I’ll go tell her that it would be fine to call her friend and that she can come on out here. And I’ll be the best husband ever and even pay for how’s that?” Jon sneered at them.

  “Hey guys I think he’s finally coming around maybe we should call Dot and tell her.” David laughed.

“You do and you’re fired!” Jon said as he left the room.

                Sarah was sitting in her room and didn’t know what to do next. She was lonely and didn’t know why this was happening to her. She thought she knew Kyle and that he loved her so why would he do this to her. And how did she wake up in a hotel room with Jon Bon Jovi and be married to him. Most girls would love to be in the position that she was in right now but all she wanted was to be home and to forget everything that has happened in the last forty-eight hours. She had just gotten ready for bed when there was a knock on her door. What now she thought. She walked over and opened it up to see Jon standing there.

“Hi.” He said. “Can I come in please?” he asked her looking a bit disheveled.

“Sure.” She said as she let him in. Jon was standing there with his hands in his pockets just as he was shuffling his feet. “Finally Sarah asked him, “Jon are you here for a reason?”

“Uh oh yeah I am. We were talking the guys and me and we thought well why don’t you go ahead and call your friend and tell her to come on out. We agreed that you don’t have anyone really to talk to but us and you probably need someone well other than us to talk with so go ahead and I’ll pay for her plane fare ok?” he told her. Well her face lit up and she flung her arms around Jon.

“Jon thank you so much. You really don’t know what this means to me. And I swear you guys are going to love her. Karen is such a sweetheart. She’s been my best friend well since I can remember.” She told him.

”Well I’m glad you’re happy. By the way does she know Kyle by any chance?” he asked wondering.

“Yeah she’s met him and never liked him. That’s why he suggested we elope. She’s going to lecture me for this.” she told him making a face.

“Well I think I like her already.” He said smiling.

“Oh very funny. I’ll call her in the morning and I can tell you she is never going to believe me about what’s happen to me. She may even be a little mad.” She told him gritting her teeth.

“Why?” he asked confused.

“Because she’s one of your biggest fans.” Sarah said smiling. Jon had to sit down.

“Really? Then Sarah maybe then it isn’t a good idea then to…” as Jon was trying to tell her.

“No it’s ok yes she is one of your biggest fans but it’ll be ok really. She’ll be fine. She loves your music and she loves you too but not in a stalker kind of way. But now with me doing this she’ll just be pissed that I didn’t tell her seeing that were best friends. I have a lot of explaining and oh God my parents I haven’t even told them yet.” She told him.

“Yeah well good luck with that because my folks are really pissed at me right now.” He told her remembering his conversation with his mother. “Do they even know?” he asked her.

“That‘s a good question I don’t know. If they don’t then I’m surprised someone in their circle hasn’t told them.” She said to him actually surprised that she hasn’t had the guts to call home yet.

Jon thought about that for a moment and then asked her, “Their circle? What does that mean Sarah ‘Their Circle?”

“Oh I haven’t told you this have I? My parents are well off.” She told him.

“They’re what?” he asked a little dumbfounded.

“My parents they’re a little well off?” she told him again.

“I thought that you were well…um I don’t know never mind.” Jon said confused.

“Jon I never said I was anything but. If you guys assumed that I was well poor or just I don’t know hard working well yeah because well I am. I’m on my own. My parents want us to do things on our own to know what it’s like to work for a living. So I’m on my vacation right now. Some vacation right?” she told him as he could see that she wasn’t too happy.

“Sarah I wasn’t judging you. I come from a working family myself.” He told her.

“No it’s ok really and I really appreciate you letting Karen come out and paying for it really I do. It will be nice to have her and be able to talk to her. Like I said I have a lot of explaining to do with her.” She smiled at him.

“Well I’m glad I could make you happy. I seem I haven’t been able to do that lately for you.” He told her smiling slightly to her.

“Oh Jon that’s not your fault. It our situation were in. Maybe we could have breakfast tomorrow would that be ok?” she asked him.

“That sounds great but maybe a brunch depending what time I get up ok?” he told her smiling sheepishly.

“That’s fine I’ll let you come get me.” She said chuckling at that.

“Ok then I’ll see you sometime tomorrow.” And he left her going back to his room.

Sarah was extremely happy knowing that she could invite her best friend Karen to be with her only because she was bored out of her mind. She was surrounded by men, not that it was bad but she didn’t know them. She really needed another female and one that she knew, one that she trusted and one that knew Kyle like she did. She couldn’t wait til morning. But she also knew that Karen was going to ball her out for not telling her plans too.
